Key Responsibilities
- Product Development: searching out new opportunities. Lead the ideation, development, and commercialisation of new food products, ensuring alignment with market trends and consumer preferences.
- Market Research: conduct thorough market analysis to identify consumer needs and the competitive landscape and utilise insights to guide product concepts.
- Project Management: oversee the entire product development process, from initial concept through to production and launch, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: work closely with operations, marketing, sales, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches and alignment with business goals.
- Quality Assurance: ensure all new products meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements; coordinate taste testing and consumer feedback sessions.
- Innovation Strategy: contribute to the company’s innovation pipeline by proposing new ideas and improvements for existing products based on consumer insights, trends and business efficiency.
- Customers: bring our customers on the journey, managing their needs to ensure product success.
Requirements
- Appropriate experience in food technology and food product development
- Proven product launches that you played a lead role in, and you are proud of
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Great project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to tight timelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication, interpersonal skills and team working skills.
- Experience with sensory evaluation and consumer testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of current food trends and market trends and dynamics.
- Familiarity with food formulation and production processes.
