On the hot Saturday, 19th of September, our very own Rodda’s Ramblers, did just that – they went rambling across the Cornish Coast. A small number of the Rodda’s team came together for a charity walk in order to raise money for the South West Coast Path Association (SWCPA).

The team walked 8 miles along the Cornish North coast from Portreath to Gwithian in just over 2 1/2 hours. The route was taken from the organisation’s page, which gives lots of handy hints and tips of how to complete sections of the beautiful path that looks across many of Cornwall’s iconic coastlines. The hot weather made for a great day out for the fantastic views and wide variety of wildlife to see.

Team Raised £400

The team raised over £400 for the South West Coast Path Association. The charity aims to ensure that trail users have detailed information available to explore the beautiful coastline safely. The monies raised will help the organisation continue to restore and improve the coastline, which we all know and love.

The Rodda’s team had a great day out enjoying the beautiful coastline.  Organiser Verity Langley added, “We all use the coast path so it’s nice to give something back, and come together as a team to raise money for such a worthy cause.”
